Other than popular red oak and white oak, they feature exotic hard woods like Tstsuboku (literally meaning "an iron wood", also known as Shikokutan) and Sunuke which has been well known among serious kenjutsu practitioners for its hardness and superb balance. Natural lacquer finish for Deluxe and gloss lacquer finish for Supreme. All are made in Japan.
